Our flat monthly rates typically save clients 50–60% compared to US hires. Controllers start around $4,500–5,500/month, senior accountants $3,500–4,500/month, and bookkeepers $2,200–2,800/month. All rates are all-inclusive — compensation, benefits, taxes, and your dedicated US account manager.
Our team stays actively involved after placement. If a placement isn't working out, we work closely with you to understand the issue and find a resolution. We're invested in your long-term success, not just the initial placement.
WorkForce On Deck employs all talent directly through our local entities in El Salvador and the Philippines. This eliminates contractor misclassification risk for your company, ensures full legal compliance in-country, and means your team members receive proper benefits and job security.
El Salvador operates in Central Time (CT), providing complete overlap with US business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Our Philippines team typically works overlapping hours with US mornings and can cover evening shifts for extended coverage.
Our professionals are proficient across the major platforms: QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, and Excel. We match you with candidates who have direct experience with your specific software stack.
Our 12-point vetting process includes accounting skills assessments, Excel proficiency tests, English proficiency evaluation, behavioral interviews, technical interviews, background checks, reference verification, work history review, cultural fit assessment, software proficiency testing, trial projects, and a final team review. Only candidates who pass every step make it onto our bench.
Everything. The monthly flat rate covers the professional's compensation, in-country benefits, employer payroll taxes and compliance, all HR administration, and your dedicated US-based account manager. There are no hidden fees and no placement fees. We collect two months upfront as a deposit, then bill monthly. You can cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
Both. You can start with a single placement to test the model, then expand to a full accounting team over time. We can staff controllers, senior accountants, staff accountants, AP/AR specialists, and FP&A analysts — either standalone or as a cohesive team.
Unlike Upwork, WorkForce On Deck employs our professionals directly, pre-vets every candidate before they ever appear to clients, and gives you a dedicated US account manager. We're a staffing partner, not a marketplace.
We collect two months upfront as a deposit - your first month of service plus one month held as security. After that, billing is monthly. You can cancel anytime with 30 days written notice, and your deposit covers that final month. No long-term lock-ins, no cancellation fees.
The first 90 days are structured for success. Month one focuses on system access, tool setup, and introductory tasks with close guidance. Month two transitions to full workload under regular supervision. By month three, your remote professional operates independently with scheduled check-ins. Your US account manager facilitates all communication and progress tracking throughout.
Yes, completely. All work product created by your remote professional belongs to your company under our standard service agreement. This includes deliverables, reports, models, and any other work outputs. We include clear IP assignment language in every engagement contract.
Yes. You can require your remote professional to use specific software, adhere to your company's security policies, use a VPN, or follow any reasonable work protocol. We coordinate equipment requirements during onboarding and your account manager ensures compliance.
We handle it. If your professional resigns or is no longer a fit, we begin identifying a replacement immediately — typically presenting candidates within 5–7 business days. Our replacement process is covered under your standard agreement with no additional placement fees.
We manage all PTO and holiday compliance locally in El Salvador and the Philippines. Your remote professional receives country-appropriate paid holidays and accrues PTO per local law. Your flat monthly rate is unaffected — you're paying for the role, not the exact hours on any given holiday.
Yes. Every engagement includes a standard confidentiality agreement. We can also incorporate your company's specific NDA language into the agreement. Candidate confidentiality is maintained throughout the vetting and presentation process as well.
Our background checks include criminal history review, identity verification, employment history confirmation, education verification, and reference interviews with prior supervisors. We conduct these checks locally in the candidate's country through certified third-party providers.
Absolutely. Many of our clients start with one hire and expand to full departments over time. We can staff accounting teams, administrative support teams, or any mix of roles. Volume clients receive dedicated account support and priority access to our bench.
However you prefer — Slack, Teams, Zoom, email, or any other communication platform you already use. Your remote professional integrates into your existing workflows. Your US-based account manager is also always available if you need escalation support or have operational questions.
We maintain full legal employment compliance through our local entities in El Salvador and the Philippines, including in-country employer of record registrations, statutory benefits, and tax compliance. We're happy to share specifics during your consultation.
Yes, and we encourage it. After we present matched profiles, you select who you'd like to meet and we schedule video interviews. You choose your candidate — we never place anyone you haven't approved.
If your placement doesn't work out within the first 90 days for performance reasons, we replace them at no additional cost. Beyond 90 days, replacements are handled quickly with no placement fees, just your standard monthly rate for any gap period where applicable.
We take data security seriously. All professionals sign data handling agreements, we support your security protocol requirements, and we work with clients operating under SOC 2, HIPAA-adjacent, and financial industry data requirements. Your account manager can coordinate specific compliance needs.

You need a reliable computer (laptop or desktop), a stable internet connection of at least 10 Mbps, a webcam for video calls, and a quiet workspace. Some clients require specific software or security setups — your onboarding coordinator will communicate any requirements before your start date.
WorkForce On Deck pays you directly in your local currency through our local entities in El Salvador and the Philippines. You receive a consistent monthly salary based on your role and experience. No need to deal with international wire transfers or freelance invoicing.
As a WorkForce On Deck professional, you're placed full-time with one client at a time. This ensures you can fully integrate into their team and deliver your best work. Your employment agreement and client confidentiality obligations are specific to your placement.
If you don't pass on your first attempt, you're welcome to reapply after 60 days. We recommend using that time to strengthen the specific skills tested. We publish study resources and guidance on our roles page to help candidates prepare.
Yes. Many of our professionals grow into senior roles, take on additional responsibilities, or transition to new client placements over time. We actively track performance and advocate for compensation increases and title changes with clients as you demonstrate results.
